Are You Climbing The Right Wall

Are You Climbing The Right Wall

If you listen closely feels like everyone’s having the same conversations. Remember the “normal” life plan? School, degree, job, climb the ladder? Yeah, that one. Well, what happens after the world decided to throw a wrench in those plans (remember 2020 and Covid), leaving a lot of us staring at the wreckage of our dreams.

As young people, we got bombarded with messages about success. We are supposed to idolize CEOs and presidents, follow in their footsteps, even if those footsteps we may not idolize . The problem? Those footsteps weren’t made for us.

Think about when you were a kid. Most of us learned the “one right path” from our families: school, degree, job, repeat. But what if you follow all the rules and still feel empty? What if that “happily ever after” feels more like a life sentence? I think a lot of people pursue a path with no end in sight, and wake up one day ready for retirement wondering where all those years went.

Maybe it’s time to stop and ask the tough questions. We all get caught up in the noise, you know, all the stuff that distracts us from the real questions. Think about it: when you feel lonely, do you turn on the TV? Bored at work? Straight to social media, right? Noise is the enemy of self-discovery. ️

But lately, things are changing. We’re seeing people break free — quitting jobs to travel, exploring financial independence (FIRE), and just… living differently. And guess what? That’s starting to make people, especially Gen Z, and some millennials question their own paths.

How do we know we’re on the right path if we never stop running?

If we never check the map, how can we be sure we’re even headed in the right direction?

It’s time to make space for the silence, to ask ourselves the hard questions.

There’s no magic formula, no one-size-fits-all answer. But I challenge you to carve out just 30 minutes to an hour every day to explore these questions. The more we invest in understanding our “why,” the clearer our path becomes.

Maybe we’ll end up exactly where we thought we wanted to be, but with a whole lot more satisfaction. Or maybe, we’ll discover a whole new adventure waiting for us. ️

The most important thing? To question your “why.” It’s the foundation for a meaningful life, a life filled with clarity and peace, no matter where the journey takes you. Start with a Goal Journal, document your thoughts and set those goals. Let’s rewrite the script together, one question at a time.
